Vega Health, founded by former Duke Institute for Health Innovation physician and data scientist Mark Sendak, raised $4 million from Bessemer Venture Partners to help healthcare systems navigate AI adoption. The Durham-based startup creates a marketplace of proven AI tools, manages the data they generate, and monitors their performance to help organizations determine which AI investments create value. With seven employees and an office in downtown Durham's historic Kress building, Vega aims to act as an AI middleman connecting health systems with validated tools while helping innovators commercialize models that often stay siloed at their home institutions.
